Ahmed Guefrache, candidate in the local elections for the "Mintaka thalitha" constituency in the Gabès-city delegation, launched his campaign in direct contact with the inhabitants of the region. Guefrache promised to work within a framework of transparency, to expose all those involved in corruption, to defend the rights of the people of Gabès and to speed up the rehabilitation of the craft market (souk de la henné) and the restoration of the current open-air theatre, as well as the construction of a new theatre to meet the aspirations of the locals. He promised to promote the wholesale fruit and vegetable market and the shopping centre, and to set up an emergency service at the intermediate health centre, as well as a post office. This candidate stressed the importance of promoting sanitation services and supporting small farmers, as well as developing and promoting the Mohamed Ali Youth Centre and the Saniet El Bey Youth Complex.
