The Urban Rehabilitation and Renewal Agency (ARRU) has started implementing the development and integration project for Cité Ennour in Gafsa, with a budget of 10 million Tunisian dinars. Abderrazek Dhahri, ARRU project manager in Gafsa, told TAP on Monday that the main components of the project are paving roads, renewing drinking water distribution network and strengthening public lighting network. The project will be implemented in two phases, the first of which will begin in December 2023 and focus on modernizing the drinking water network over a linear distance of 8 kilometers and connecting 1,200 households to the SONEDE network, at a cost of TND 1.5 million. Dhahri explained that the second phase of the project includes asphalting 18 kilometres of roads and installing 380 public lighting points, with a budget of TND 8.5 million.
