The first edition of the Tunisian Medical Tourism Fair (TTM Expo 2024) is set to be held next May 3-5 in Paris under the slogan "Travel to Health." The event is placed under the auspices of the Health Ministry and the national health union coming under the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (French: UTICA). It will be a unique platform for health professionals and specialised agencies to seal fruitful and lasting partnerships. The fair is organised by two private sector medical tourism enterprises from Tunisia and France. There will be thirty stands bringing together Tunisian and European professionals (medical clinics, cosmetic surgery clinics dental clinics, thalassotherapy centers,guest houses, banks, etc.) Executive Director of the fair Balkis Abdallah Sunday told TAP the event is organised in response to the call of several health tourism actors. Medical tourism accounts for nearly half of tourist receipts, Balkis Abdallah added. The initiative is designed to further boost the sector by means of developing and exporting services in a bid to make of Tunisia a top medical tourism destination for Europeans by 2034.
