Assemblyman leads cleanup exercise at Dalive-Torzikpota CHPS compound

Mr Peter Narteh, the Assembly Member of Dalive -Torzikpota Electoral Area in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region, has led the community in a clean-up exercise on the Dalive CHPS compound premises. The exercise was to promote hygiene and avert intrusion of rodents into the facility. The community elders, youths and women were actively involved in sweeping the compound and clearing the weeds to significantly enhance the cleanliness of the CHPS compound. Mr Narteh, also the Chief Executive Officer of New Generation Impart Broadband (NGIB), expressed gratitude to the community members for the hard work and communal labour spirit, which had enhanced the beauty of the health centre. 'It was truly inspiring to witness everyone's dedication and efforts as we keep our environmental hygiene,' he said. He emphasised the critical role of cleanliness in promoting good health, aligning with the saying: 'cleanliness is next to Godliness.' He stressed the need for collective responsibility in maintaining a hyg ienic environment conducive to promoting good health and sanitation. Mr Narteh told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that 'keeping the environment clean would not only help uplift the image of the area but also prevent outbreak of communicable diseases.' 'Poor sanitation leads to transmission of infectious diseases and viruses.'
