Ouagadougou: The president of the Commission of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), Abdoulaye Diop, indicated Tuesday that Burkina Faso's performance in terms of transposition and application of texts communities are very satisfactory, reaching an execution rate of more than 86%. The rate of execution of UEMOA standards by Burkina Faso is considered 'very satisfactory' by the President of the Commission, Abdoulaye Diop. He spoke on Tuesday in Ouagadougou, after an audience with the head of the Burkinabe government, Dr Apollinaire Kyélem de Tambèla. According to Mr. Diop, in terms of implementing community texts, Burkina Faso has always respected its commitments at the community level. He specified that on each of the components of the review on political, program and project reforms, the Burkinabè government achieved an overall execution rate of more than 80%, for a performance threshold set at 70%. In addition, Abdoulaye Diop affirmed that the economy of the Member States of the Union i s dynamic, in particular that of Burkina Faso whose growth rate is greater than 5%, despite the security context. The President of the UEMOA Commission also expressed the Union's solidarity with the Burkinabè people in the face of the security situation they are currently experiencing.
