Ouagadougou: The ministry in charge of Agriculture committed Tuesday, in a framework agreement, to supporting the process of retraining retired military personnel in the agro-pastoral and fisheries sector. In a framework agreement signed with the Ministry in charge of Defense, the Ministry of Agriculture will, among other things, train and facilitate the installation of personnel from the national armed forces who have retired and wish to retrain in the agricultural field. -pastoral and fishing. According to article 3 of the agreement, any soldier who moves towards agro-pastoral and fishing activities, either two years before retirement or after more than three years of retirement, is a beneficiary of this agreement. For the Minister of State in charge of Defense, Brigadier General Kassoum Coulibaly, the Ministry of Agriculture has been supporting retired soldiers for a long time in their retraining in the field of agriculture and livestock breeding. . According to the Minister in charge of Defense, it wa s necessary for this partnership which already exists to be formally framed by a formal agreement. The brigadier general also took the opportunity to thank the partner ministry for this considerable support which will allow his brothers in arms to calmly begin a new activity in their new life. The convention indicates in its article 4 that the areas of collaboration are, among others, capacity building, advisory support for organization and structuring, support for processing and marketing, facilitation of access to financing and access to productive resources.
