Mama Bobi identified the root causes of political violence, including deficiencies in state structures, lack of trust in the electoral system, political party vigilantism, and media responsibility. She advocated that Ghana's diversity should promote peaceful coexistence. Mama Bobi appealed to political parties and leaders to stay true to the tenets of free and fair elections, prioritizing the wellbeing of the populace over personal gains. She encouraged parties to focus on the needs of ordinary citizens, emphasizing that the populace should be seen as human beings rather than mere votes. She also called on political leaders to educate their supporters to prevent conflict and urged the electoral commission to ensure transparency. Mama Bobi extended her appeal to religious leaders, urging them to maintain peace, while discouraging political party supporters from engaging in vigilantism and violence. The media was admonished for their role in the electoral process, with Mama Bobi stressing the need for integrity and truth in reporting. She warned that media influence could significantly impact peace, urging professionalism and caution in their communications. Mama Bobi reiterated the necessity for collaboration among all actors, including security agencies, the Judiciary, the election body, and traditional rulers, to ensure a peaceful election. The event, dubbed the 2024 Election Peace Concert, was themed 'Uniting Ghana for Peace Through Music,' and saw attendance from numerous stakeholders, including local government leaders, traditional rulers, and political party aspirants.
