A first contingent of 100 pilgrims from Bizerte Sunday boarded a flight in Tunis Carthage airport to the Holy Sites. This is the first flight out of a total of four scheduled for the governorate, as part of the 1444-2023 Haj season. The return flight is set for July 5, said Local Director of Religious Affairs Sonia Gabsi. A second contingent of 221 pilgrims will fly to Saudi Arabia on June 13; the return flight is scheduled for July 7, she added. The third flight will take off on June 16 with 199 pilgrims on board; a return flight is due on July 9. The fourth flight will depart next June 18 and pilgrims are due back on July 12. The total number of pilgrims from Bizerte stands at 529 this year.
