Algeria will take part in the 2nd edition of the African Beach Games, from June 23 to 30 in Hammamet. 86 athletes from 12 disciplines will represent Algeria in this African event held by the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ACNOA) and the Tunisian National Olympic Committee (CNOT). "The Olympic body in collaboration with the Youth and Sports Ministry and the national sports federations concerned opted for a selective participation in this African meeting which will be marked by the participation of over 800 registered athletes from 16 disciplines. A number of them will qualify for the World Beach Games from August 5 to 15, in Bali, Indonesia,» Silini told a press conference at the headquarters of the Algerian Olympic and Sports Committee (COA) in Algiers. Algeria will be represented at these games with 86 athletes (39 boys and 29 girls) in 12 disciplines: Beach volleyball, Beach tennis, Basketball (3x3), Beach-rowing, Swimming, Kayaking, Kata karate, Wushu kung fu, wrestling beach, badminton, Teqball and Beach Marathon (10 km).
