Kadjebi: The Akan Constituency Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in collaboration with the Oti Regional Executives, are set to engage with the parties involved in the recent barricading incidents at the NADMO and NHIS offices in Kadjebi. This meeting, aimed at resolving the tensions amicably, is scheduled to occur next week.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Richard Akrasi, the Akan NDC Director of Communications, shared this development during an interview in Kadjebi, Oti Region. He acknowledged that the incident has negatively impacted the party’s image both in the constituency and the broader region.

Mr. Akrasi urged all aggrieved parties to exercise restraint, emphasizing the importance of unity and peace for the district’s development. The disturbance took place on Monday, September 15, 2025, when a group reportedly affiliated with the NDC, led by Mr. Sampson Quarshiga, the Akan NDC Youth Organiser, barricaded the offices of the NADMO District Director and the NHIS Scheme Manager. The group asserted that the appointments were made without consulting the party’s grassroots structures.

The upcoming dialogue seeks to bring all parties to the table and restore calm within the party’s ranks in the Akan Constituency.
