Cape Coast Prepares for Grand Durbar of Oguaa Fetu Afahye Festival

Cape coast: A colourful procession of chiefs, queen mothers, traditional warriors, and priests has begun in the historic city, Cape Coast, ahead of the annual grand durbar of the Oguaa Fetu Afahye Festival.

According to Ghana News Agency, the traditional leaders, adorned in Kente, gold ornaments, and centuries-old beads, rode high in elaborately decorated palanquins. The procession started from Mfantsipim School and went through the streets, captivating the thousands of cheering residents and tourists who lined the streets.
