A partnership declaration was signed, Wednesday, between the governorate of Gabès and the South African province of Eastern Cape at the end of a meeting attended by officials from both regions. The areas of partnership provided for in this declaration initialed in the presence of the Head of the Management of the Governor of Gabès Ali Ellani, that of the Eastern Cape, Oscar Mabuyane and the ambassador of South Africa in Tunisia, covers the sectors of agriculture, the blue economy as well as the sharing of innovations, science, technology and culture. This agreement reflects the willingness of both parties to boost bilateral cooperation and economic partnership. It also focuses on fostering collaboration in the areas of childhood, vocational training, tourism, investment and trade. During this meeting, a partnership agreement was signed between the South East Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Eastern Cape Province Chamber of Commerce in an effort to increase cooperation in areas of mutual interest. On the sidelines of the visit of the governor of the South African province to Gabès, meetings were also held between businessmen from both parties so as to examine the possibility of establishing bilateral partnerships.
