Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, on Tuesday invited his fellow citizens to work so that Burkina Faso can celebrate its 'real independence' on August 5, 2025. 'I hope that everyone can work and ensure that next year at this same time, we can celebrate the real independence that we are fighting today to acquire,' declared President Ibrahim Traoré this 6 Tuesday 2024. Ibrahim Traoré spoke to presidential staff this Tuesday morning, during the raising of colors ceremony at Koulouba Palace. According to the president, the celebration of the advent of the revolution of August 1983 which allowed the sons and daughters of Burkina Faso to begin the march towards real independence. Referring to August 5, 1960, the date of the proclamation of the independence of our country, the President of Faso urged all Burkinabè people to contribute to the advent of a truly independent Burkina Faso.
