The two candidates for the next local elections (December 24) in the constituency of El Makarem-Est, in the delegation of Sidi Bouzid-Est, Marouen Amri and Hafedh Badri, presented the main axes of their electoral programmes. Candidate Marouen Amri told TAP that he will work strengthen local governance, improve women's and small farmers' conditions, implement electrification projects, create irrigated areas, a high school, an education center for adults and develop infrastructure. Candidate Haafedh Badri promised his voters to support poor people, connect the region with main roads, create a livestock market, as well as encourage investments, the rehabilitation of educational structures and promote school transport.
