Stock market starts week on gloomy note

The stock market started the week on a gloomy note. The benchmark index slipped by 0.3% to 8,620.2 points, in a low volume of TND 2.6 million, according to the stock market broker Tunisie Valeurs. STB shares were the best performers of the session. The state-owned bank's share price rose by 4.6% to TND 3.660. Trading in the stock was thin at TND 7 thousand. CELLCOM shares performed well during the session. Shares in the distributor of the EVERTEK brand rebounded by 4.2% to TND 1.230. The stock attracted a limited flow of TND 24,000. SFBT shares were among the session's biggest losers. Penalised by a sell-off, the brewery's shares gave up 2.2% at TND 12.100. The share livened up the market with capital of TND 153,000 over the session. The slide continues for Carthage Cement shares. The cement maker's shares stumbled by 1.6% to TND 1.890. The stock traded for TND 156,000 over the session. Amen Bank continues to top the trading charts.
