Optimism is fading on the Tunis stock market. The benchmark index fell by 1.7% over the week (September 11 to 15) to 8819.36 points, bringing its performance since the beginning of the year to +8.8%, according to the weekly analysis of broker Tunisie valeurs.
Trading volumes were modest during the week, totalling TND 16.5 million, or a daily average of TND 3.3 There were no block trades during the week.
OfficePlast shares topped the charts. The company's stock was the best performer of the week, rising 10.1% to TND 1.200 on a meagre flow of TND 3,000.
SOMOCER shares were among the biggest winners of the week. The ceramics specialist's shares rose by 7% to TND 0.760, attracting a volume of TND 74,000 for the week.
UADH was the market's red lantern. Its share price fell by 14.3% to TND 0.300 on almost zero trading volume.
BIAT was the most traded stock of the week, attracting TND 4.4 million or 27% of the volume traded.

ATL: Bond issue closed
Subscriptions to the "ATL 2023-2" bond issue of TND 40 million, which may be increased to a maximum of TND 60 million, opened to the public on August 3, were closed on September 11, 2023 for an amount of TND 60 million.
BH Leasing: net profit of TND 1.6 million
The half-yearly financial statements of BH Leasing show a net profit of TND 1.6 million, compared to TND 0.55 million in the previous year. This increase is mainly due to the significant decrease in risk costs, which fell from TND 2.56 million to TND 0.6 million.
