Tunisia, Algeria discuss boosting consultation and implementing cooperation protocol between both parliaments

Tunis: President of the People's National Assembly of Algeria Brahim Boughali said on Friday that his visit to Tunisia falls within the framework of the cooperation protocol between the two countries' parliaments, signed late 2023, and its implementation through consultation on common issues at the Maghreb, regional and international levels. The aim is to adopt unified positions and find solutions which serve the interests of the two peoples and brotherly countries. Boughali is making an official four-day visit to Tunisia (July 26-29) leading a delegation of MPs, at the invitation of his counterpart Brahim Bouderbala, whom he welcomed this Friday at Tunis Carthage airport. In a statement to the media, Boughali expressed delight at being in Tunisia, highlighting the friendship and brotherly relations and the shared history and destiny of the two countries. For his part, Bouderbala highlighted the position of Tunisia and Algeria on various issues, wishing a better future for the two brotherly peoples. Tunis ia's security depends on Algeria's and the other way round, he added, pointing to the need for a shared vision to address regional and international developments.
