UGTT expresses solidarity with Moroccan and Libyan peoples

The Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT)'s Executive Committee on Wednesday expressed solidarity with the Moroccan and Libyan peoples and deep sympathy with the families affected by the earth tremor in Morocco and Storm Daniel in Libya. The UGTT further commended in a press release, the efforts exerted by Tunisia to support the two brotherly peoples, calling for more initiatives of this kind. The UGTT also called on the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) and all international forces to show solidarity and take humanitarian action. According to preliminary estimates, almost 10,000 people are missing and around 2,000 have died in the storm Daniel. In Morocco, the earthquake killed over 2,901 people.
